Total CAF Champions league is the the continent flagship tournament. This years competition had all the 8 clubs all former winners.
Zamalek booked their place in the 2019/20 CAF Champions league after beating defending champions Esperance du Tunis on Friday on a 2-1 aggregate.
In other games Raja Casablanca also advanced to the next stage of the competition despite losing 1-0 to Tp Mazembe in Congo. The Moroccan side won on a 2-1 aggregate after winning the first leg 2-0.
Elsewhere South Africa side Mamelodi Sundowns were crusshed out of the CAF Champions league after losing 3-1 on aggregate to Egyptian giants Al Ahly. The Brazilians drew 1-1 with Ahly in the second leg but have already lost 2-0 in the first leg in Egypt last week.
Also Etoile du Sahel win 1-0 at the Olympic stadium in Rades on Saturday night but the result was not enough to overturn the 2-0 deficit from the first leg in Morocco last weekend against WAC.
In the semi finals, WAC will come up with Al Ahly and zamalek take of Raja Casablanca on 1st and 8th of May for both first and second leg respectively.
