FiFa wants African cup of nations to be played in 4 years

FiFa president Giani Infantino has suggested that, the African cup of nations should be played four years instead of two. He made this announcement when the leaders in football on the continent met in sole Morocco, on the theme “developing football” in Africa and closing the gap to Europe’s dominance on the world game. He emphasised that revenue will increase in many folds and the event will become a must watch not only for Africa but the world at large. As part of FiFa reforms in African football, Infantino mentioned refereeing, infructsructure, and competitions are the main key areas that’s needs improvement. Participating teams for the juvenile competitions will also increase from 24 to 48 teams.
